The accidental finding

The bleeding house

I had GG round to the house to watch a classic musical, Easter Bonnet, on TV. She brought a picnic, so we dined in style. Unfortunately she decided to leave five minutes before the end of the film. As she didn’t want to be late for her next engagement! I watched until the end, then I went out to meet a friend.

We went down to Home Bargains, then to a coffee shop and then, because we wanted to carry on talking, along the canal, down to Capel’s Mill waterfall, and skirted the edge of Rodborough fields until we emerged on Butterrow hill. Walked down the hill, then he went back to Stroud along the canal towpath, and I walked home.

I am still trying to get compensation from Cross Country trains for a journey Steve made on 19 th Mar! The latest instalment is that they are claiming they have not received my bank details, which I gave rhem on Friday. This means they will have to ‘reopen my case’, which they should not have closed in the first place. Grrr

Otherwise, a peaceful and relaxing day with quite a lot of steps clocked up. The house, by the way, is near me on a main road, but definitely not where I live.
