Typhoon

It really hit once we were back at the hotel. Quite impressive rain really. It meant we got stuck in a crazy traffic jam on the way into Hanoi. If that sort of thing happened at home there would be police everywhere but a taxi and a cyclo driver took care of it.

Hanoi is as busy as the other big cities I've been to but with smaller streets, especially in the old French quarter which we had fun getting lost in and drinking iced coffee, watching the world go by on plastic furniture.

Not much chance to take photos unfortunately as the rain was almost persistent.

I tried Vietnamese KFC but I'm not sure that counts as new..
