Tonight's Catch

I heard a splash, but thought nothing of it, as I concentrated on photographing a small bird nearby. Only when I turned back to look for the egret, which had flown up into this tree after I managed to disturb it, did I see the osprey with a fish in its claw. So that must have been what caused the splash. I should have paid more attention.

My next shot of the osprey was in flight, but unfortunately away from me. I tracked it into the distance in case it circled back, but no.
