Stroking Rays

This afternoon was the Biennial excursion - most folk went on coaches to Almería and had a good time. 

We took the grandkids in our car to the local Aquarium. Obviously not as grand as Lisbon's, but saw creatures we'd never seen before, had sharks swimming over the top of us, and the highlight - a tank where you could stroke the rays. The rays appeared to like it, and would come up to the surface near our hands, and flap water at us. As Allegra observed, they felt like mushrooms, cooked ones.

Gratefuls:
- two AGMs done and dusted (Britain and Portugal); one more to go tomorrow (International) - not my favourite way to spend time
- our grandkids being such good company
- excellent ice-cream cones, and a walk back along the front
