Tulip

One of two tulips of this variety which have appeared in the rose bed this spring.  I tend to grow tulips in pots for the first year then bury them in the ground once they have finished flowering.  I am sure I planted more than the two that have appeared but they do look good. I need more of these!

A slow return to gardening after my foot surgery 6 weeks ago.  Gently does it as the foot is still swollen and reminds me if I have worked too hard! No hard exercise until the end of May though.  I am climbing the walls for a run already so not sure what I will be like by then!
