Tulips in the sunshine

Today was the warmest day of the year so far, with bright blue skies and sunshine - I am loving this weather and could get used to it!

This morning I met a friend in the woods near me for a dog walk. We had a long walk and then afterwards went to our local cafe for coffees. I took Xena with me into the cafe as it was too warm to leave her in the car. However, I saw later on our local residents group whatsapp, that a worker attending to something in a house down the road left his dogs in his car while he was working inside a house, and some of the neighbours phoned the police about it - I was surprised that they came out within 10 minutes of the call and the man got a final warning, next offence will be serious for him. Maybe a good thing we have such busy-body people living in our area, although the man said the dogs were given water and were fine as he was checking on them.

I spent all of the afternoon sorting out my camera club exhibition entries which takes place in June, but the deadline is quite soon - we submit six prints and six PDI's, they are judged and then we can choose three prints and three PDIs for the exhibition. I had to get them uploaded onto PhotoEntry and complete the forms. I also chose prints and uploaded those for our final print competition of the year. That's it now for competitions for this season which is a relief.

Then I prepared the agenda and other documents for our next committee meeting and for our AGM which takes place next month. A pity to spend the afternoon indoors when the weather is so lovely outside but these things had to get done.

The tulips in my garden are still looking so colourful and pretty.
