Anthotype experiments
Anthotypes are a low tech experimental/historic photographic technique. Pigment is extracted from plants (in this case by grinding the viola petals in a pestle and mortar with a little alcohol) and then painted onto paper. I have then made photograms, with the exposures taking most of the last (very sunny) week.
I love the delicate colour, and am looking forward to more experimenting.
In other news, I have a radiotherapy planning appointment through for next week, so it feels like it’s all moving forward. Plus had a lovely catch up with the CEO of Open Eye Gallery this morning about the project at the RHS. Everyone is being so supportive, and I am keen to get started as soon as I am fit.
