Birthday Boy

My brother Gary, 70 three weeks ago, today celebrated his birthday with a party at Aldershot Football Club. His son Paul is 40 in a couple of weeks, joint celebratio then!

I set off around 10:00an and arrived at my hotel in Aldershot around 2:30pm, a remarkably trouble & traffic free journey.
Coffee, shower and change I took myself off for a cheap beer and meal at the local Wetherspoons, pretty crowded with very happy Aldershot Town football supporters, the ‘Shot’ having just beaten local rivals Woking.
Summoned to the Trafalgar pub, the Parachute Regiments pub for a pre party aperitif.
I thoroughly enjoyed the party, particularly catching up with two of my grandchildren, Luis & Hugo.
Lots of laughter, lots of fun and reminiscing. A bottle of rum gifted from Gary safely brought back to the hotel.
