Window, Batemans

Rudyard Kipling's home, Batemans, here in East Sussex, is one of my favourite locations for calm interiors (and one of Mrs Catspaw's and my favourite places to visit overall).

According to the Room Guide, the fascinating ironwork piece on the left of the windowsill is Swedish, possibly collected by Rudyard Kipling on a visit to that country to receive the Nobel Prize in Literature for 1907.
