Stirling Old Bridge

This afternoon  along with some friends we visited the Church of the Holy Rude in Stirling, which is currently hosting an art exhibition by Iona Leishman,  and featuring a painting of Stirling Old Bridge.
 
The bridge is historically significant, being a crucial river crossing and the site of the famous battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, which gained additional fame from the film Braveheart.
