Ready for Easter!

Today a friend who lives in Stoke on Trent came to visit and we went with the twins to Attingham NT House again. They played football in the big playground there ( we took a football!) and also had a go at some of the things on the Easter trail like throwing bean bags to knock over these Easter eggs.

Today we went on the house and although the ground floor rooms were very dark to preserve the paintings the kitchens and servants areas below were really great to see. The whole area had so many different rooms open including the Butlers sitting room and bedroom on one side of the basement and the housekeepers on the other side. There was also a very big servants hall and lots of different kitchens, still rooms, laundry etc. See extra for the servants rules!
Second extra is of the main room of the barn we are staying in…it was very skilfully made into a holiday let by the NT in 2022 with lots of lovely wooden doors and round windows etc.
