South Downs
We had our Covid jabs in a village hall out in the country. It was very efficient, and when it was done we set off south down through Surrey and Sussex. Everywhere looked wonderful in the sunshine with new leaves on the trees, blackthorn in the hedgerows and dandelions on the verges. On the downs the rape seed was in flower, a stunning yellow for my blip. When we reached the coast we drove east through Shoreham and Brighton, both very busy.(extra)
Eventually we turned back inland looking for somewhere to lunch. We spotted a pub with a Jamaican flag outside and we were tempted in. It was an interesting menu and we had a good main course and dessert, both unusual but very tasty.
Then we had the long drive home. It is so good that Norman really enjoys driving.
