Heavy horses

The National Trust have brought out their heavy horses to tow a mower across the patch of common that they own down near Bookham Station. They are a lovely sight. There used to be goats on this part of the common but I haven’t seen them for a while.
I visited the garden centre and bought a few colourful specimens to replace ones I have lost, partly by frost and partly because I haven’t been able to water as much as I used to. Alan can sort them out for me on Thursday.
