A little light music.

Up town for my birthday treat courtesy of the beautiful Alison. Met with the lovely Juliet too for a bite if sushi before going to see Portico Quartet at the Assembly rooms.

The last time I was there was to see James Grant and we sat directly beneath one of the scarily mahoosive chandeliers. I always think the bloody things are going to come down on my head and can't fully relax, silly I know. Not this time though so I was able to properly enjoy the evening.

The band are amazing, they were much more experimental this time round, went from all Herbie Hancock to thundery film noire score from one moment to the next...I swear they re-set my heart rhythm.
