Tree line

On this lovely sunny day I was out with the local walking group. It was a 9 mile walk starting in Otterton and heading up part of the river before heading inland to Colaton Raleigh, Stowford, Yettington, Hayes Wood and East Budleigh.  It was a route taking in many paths and areas I hadn't visited before which was interesting and quite varied in scenery.  We walked along overgrown small valleys, through tall woodland areas, crossed a ford and a small stream, headed across commons and back along the river to our starting place.  Very enjoyable and we saw another swallow flying by.
