Outside again
NZ blipper Mima shared some beautiful apples. It's fun to have the two ends of the telescope at the same (roughly) moment. There is probably much more forward blossom in the orchard, but the end of the garden remains my physical limit. This tree has a lot of canker that I did not see during the winter prune. I now have the dilemma of leaving it to fester and sporulate all summer, or pruning it now (meaning as soon as I physically can) when summer pruning can let the disease get deeper into the tree. My brain has shut down its decision-making section
I listened to an interview with a man who performs Shakespeare using pronunciation as it was at the time the plays were written - the outcome of many year's work. He says a high proportion of the sonnets (my addled brain can't remember the number - 60?) contain rhymes that do not work unless you pronounce the words in the contemporary way. There's nothing like an expert
