Dandelions, Designs and Decorators
A calmer day than many recent ones. My sister came over for lunch, and then we had a rummage in the two local charity shops. She bought a few books (she’s an avid reader), and I found a couple of nice tops which look as if they haven’t even been worn and some packs of glossy photo paper for my inkjet printer at a bargain price. I do like to keep a little stock of it to print off photos for friends and family.
My sister agreed with me that the fitted wardrobes would be much better on a different wall in the bedroom. Now that the old pine wardrobe has gone, I’ve been able to mark out on the floor where the new units would go and have decided that the space between them and the foot of the bed would be too narrow. The Wren designer I’ve been dealing with wasn’t in today, so I’ll speak to him first thing tomorrow about changing the plan. This also means I won’t now need the electrician to move the power sockets along the wall. He’s coming in the morning at 8 o’clock, but I do also want to discuss some other electrical jobs with him and he’ll probably be able to do one of those tomorrow instead, so I don’t feel I’ll be wasting his time.
I spoke to the chap from the awnings company, and he’s coming on Monday to do a recce and discuss replacing the worn out one that Mum and Dad had installed about 20 years ago. My hairdresser Liz’s decorator husband Lee also popped by about painting the bedroom. He also agreed without hesitation about my change of plan for the wardrobes (I had chosen Wren because he and Liz had been pleased with theirs). He’s going to do my decorating on a weekend, and will work out his schedule and drop me a note in the next couple of days. Once we’ve agreed on the date I’ll be able to organise the carpet and put in the final order for the wardrobes to be delivered and installed.
I’m getting there….! Bit low on photographic inspiration today I’m afraid, so this bright dandelion will have to do.
