Lacock Abbey NT (Wednesday 9th April 2025)
This afternoon I drove to Lacock to see the snake's head fritillaries in the Lacock Abbey grounds. To my surprise, their patch had been more than halved, with the entire bed to the left of the footpath having been removed, leaving only a small viewing area to the right. They were starting to go over but I managed a few shots of the best remaining examples, including the white variety (in Extras).
I also had a look at the Botanic Gardens and took in an RPS display of the International Photography Exhibition in the Museum.

Lozarithm's Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Agents - Soul Line (recorded 18 October 1967, Golden World Studio B, Detroit MI)
Such is the reputation of Motown that their sixties output, even that unreleased at the time, can still command much attention, though their releases have been slowing down in recent years. The CD All Turned On! was a selection of instrumentals released in 2022, almost half of which were making their debut in a physical format. I recently bought it and was intrigued by this track by the unknown Agents. Judging from the composer credits they largely comprised members of Junior Walker's All Stars, possibly featuring Junior Walker himself? Half-a-dozen titles were recorded over three sessions but none were released at the time.
