pale pink blooms at last!

I couldn't find my camera for ages this evening, but it eventually turned up in a plastic bag with some shopping. This hollyhock has taken at least 3 years to flower, as in previous years the leaves got eaten by bugs or something, and no buds ever grew!
We spent the afternoon, 4 of us, spring cleaning the apartment purchased last week by my parents in law, who return to Guernsey in the next few days, after an absence of 10 years. The paving slab pathway is all straightened and made firm with cement, to aid entry with no tripping up on uneven slabs.
