Fake News

Special Dry or Super Dry? Well, having carried out a number of carefully controlled tests I can confirm my initial thoughts that they are both - wet!

Technical notes - 10 shots focus stacked, with a Canon flash unit manually fired on my Sony. I'm getting the hang of the stacking now. It's still not deep enough, and there is some sort of halo effect when combining the images in Photoshop. I tried Helicon too and got the same effect, to a lesser extent. I tidied up the Photoshop one for the blip.

It's been a lovely day so we went for a long (for us) walk to Hampnett. We went via the church in Northleach because I seem to have lost my lens cap and the last place I remember having it was there last week. No sign of it though. It will probably turn up in a pocket somewhere, just after I order a new one. We also bumped into some of the (I assume) Balkan dance ladies, looking pretty tired! I think their instructor works them hard.

We saw our first lambs of the year near Hampnett (well second because we saw some at Batsford last week) The first ones I was able to photograph anyway (extra). We also saw a buzzard hovering near them but it shot off when it saw I had a camera.

In other (not fake) news we came first in the battle last night! I still only got a 17 for my Baker Street photo, though 19 for my Mop Fair blue waltzer one which I am a bit tired of seeing now.

Hoping to have a Skype with grandson Rory soon. It's his birthday. Double figures now!

Well I did win it again! I took it back this week. I'm pretty sure this time it won't be three years in a row.
