Wound up in Wexford

Yellow magnolia

Hmmm.  It's a lovely flower.  Shame the camera decided to focus on the background.  I took the photos without the benefit of reading glasses, so didn't realise every one was focused on the wrong things!  Oh well, it's a good photo of the beautiful blue sky.  And the rocks in the flower bed.

It was another glorious day, though the wind was chilly, particularly in the morning.

I spent several hours weeding alongside the ditch, and planted 4 young foxgloves.  We have quite a number of well developed foxglove plants, presumably from the seeds I spread last year - they should flower this year, but the seeds they spread are unlikely to flower till two years time.  Hoping the ones I've planted today are small enough that they won't flower till next year.

W made some structures to support the beans and peas he's growing from seed - they're developing well, but although it seems unbelievable at the moment, there's still a good chance of colder weather and frosts.
