Sheffield Park

A visit to Sheffield Park in Chailey area was lovely, and good in terms of accessibility for Stan, on his mobility scooter. This tree has been hit by lightning and looked quite dramatic, as it was a large tree.
Afterwards we went on to make use of my voucher for Afternoon tea at Ashdown Park Hotel, which was good but spoiled a little by an incident where the waitress spilled the champagne glasses over J&S, and then made no offer to reflect that understandable mistake in the bill, other than removing the discretionary service charge. We felt they could have done more and said so, but they would not budge, so I doubt we will be going there again. S had pretty wet trousers so it seemed mean spirited on their part.
