Spring flowers

Back blip - Saturday 
Checked out of the hotel and spent most of the morning sitting in the garden at mum's. We headed for the airport after lunch. Our flight wasn't until 7.20pm, but we thought the M5 might be busy as it was the first day of the school holidays. As it turned out, the traffic was fine and no hold ups, so we had a couple of hours to spare.

We stopped off at Brent Knoll and enjoyed an ice cream in a local park. We then intended having a walk around the knoll, but missed the turning for it. Instead, we turned off at Sidcot and had a wander around nearby Winscombe instead. There was a nice green area around a heritage railway site where we sat and enjoyed the sunshine for a while.

Our flight was on time and actually arrived 15 minutes early. Just missed the 200 bus, so caught a 100 to drumbrae instead and then a taxi for the last part of the journey. A lot cheaper than an airport taxi!
