It's happening!

Today work started on putting the rectory back together. The old windows were taken out of the kitchen and new sealed units put in, along with a new back door. Unfortunately the wooden cladding in this picture is no longer functional with gaps between the planks which let water in, so it is going to have to be replaced. Hope there are not too many other surprises. This one at least is not too expensive!
I met Mike for our Cursillo reunion this afternoon. He is going through big changes just now as they have just sold their big family home and moved into a flat which is all on one level. They are missing having lots of space (although the flat is not exactly small) but glad to no longer have a garden to tend.
It's been a lovely sunny day today and I am really should have been in the garden but there is just too much going on just now. It appears I have also put my foot in it with a member of the congregation with a comment in an email to him which he took the wrong way. I apologised immediately I realised he was upset, so hopefully all will be well. Aargh!
