A day in the life

Overlays

The last of the overlays to the choir production were made today. Cello and  Accordeon. She was so nervous about recording but had practiced a lot and nailed it on the first take. Her husband, the cellist did two takes but the first one was the best, which it so often is. Two songs needed extra instruments but since they played so well, it was done in less than two hours, including a cup of coffee. Hopefully the whole project will be done by next week, maybe even this week, depending on how much time we have to spend on it.

The sun came back during the afternoon and after working a bit with the recordings, balancing the instruments and the choire for an hour or two, I went for a longish walk, bathing in sun and birdsong.
Life is good at the moment.
