Periwinkle
We went to Kristen’s after Mass last night. Hubby wanted to check out the camper garage he’ll be using now that they sold their camper. Kris made spaghetti and invited us for dinner. It was delish but I only ate a dab since it is really not low carb/low fat. I have lost my 10 pound goal but do not want to stop there. We got home in time to read some of your journals. Hubby is still reading the new van’s owners’ manual-so much to learn. He was up early this morning; I slept in. We each ate a leisurely breakfast. I emptied the dishwasher. We decided to enjoy the spring weather outside for a while. The pollen count is extremely high; I wore a mask. Hubby cut the grass. I cleaned two flower gardens in front of the she shed. They are ready for mulch. I pruned trees where we keep our trash cans. Some of the branches are from the neighbor’s evergreen but they were overhanging the cans, making it difficult for hubby to gain access to that area. I also pruned dead wood from two lilac bushes that are getting ready to bloom. Hubby cleaned up my debris. By then we were hungry and hurting. We ate a burger and mashed potatoes. Hubby went out to gather the remaining dead branches while I got my blip. This garden is out by the heat pumps. I will trim the tendrils as soon as they finish blooming. The bed is covered in these happy blue blooms. Hubby starts his colonoscopy prep today. While I cleaned the kitchen, he went to the store to buy jello powder. The poor guy has a two+ day prep. It’s definitely nap time. I keep dozing as I write this. Had to take restless leg meds so I could sit on the recliner. I drank a Gatorade when I came inside but my legs are not happy. Our weekend flew by. Hope yours was stress free and productive. Stay safe. Thanks for your visit. “One flower blooms abundantly, named periwinkle; Enriches the garden humbly, without trouble.” — Shashi Dip
