Gentle Sunday
... Well, it was once the overnight gales subsided. This area is subject to a phenomenon which sometimes sees winds from the east accelerated as they pass over the mountains. It was blowing a hoolie last night when I got home, wheelie bins asunder and debris on the move. Thankfully it eased late morning.
A bit of post trip sorting this morning and then a walk along the front with Meg. This afternoon I ran a glazing workshop at pottery which was well received .... and lots of fun too. Meg and I had a walk at Rhydyronen late afternoon and with lighter evenings I was able to spend an hour in and around the greenhouse after tea. Much watering in and out, new plants acquired and gifted this week all unpacked and a few things potted on.
Primula marginata 'Mauve Mist' is flowering in greenhouse and garden. It's a lovely deep coloured form. The species, marginata, seem to do well outside here which is a win given that so many of my fav plants have issues with wind, salt and slugs in this garden!
