The Britons Protection

One of the greatest pubs in Manchester City Centre, the Britons Protection (NB the lack of an apostrophe is deliberate - although I am not sure why) is now dominated by a number of huge modern buildings. I just hope the pub - and other old buildings like it - are not removed as development continues. The pub contains murals of the Peterloo Massacre, which took place near the site, in 1819.
