Men
A very pleasant morning of coffee and reading at the hotel followed by record shopping at nearby Rough Trade. I managed to restrain myself for the most part but may, erm, be back in the morning for an 'essential' or two.
More activity in our part of town with a very fine indeed lunch at Bubala and then a terrific exhibition of Peter Hujar photographs at Raven Row, somewhere I'd never been before but, blimey, what a great space it is.
In to Central London for some sun down by the river and in Trafalgar Square before two back-to-back exhibitions at The National Portrait Gallery. First - Edvard Munch Portraits and second - The Face Magazine: Culture Shift. The former featured some lovely expressive works but seems from the reviews to have been less than comprehensive and more notable for what it didn't include as for what it did (and it certainly wasn't a particularly large exhibition), whilst the latter was utterly fabulous and featured plenty of iconic images from the last forty years of popular culture, loved loved loved it!
A little beer and a moderate amount of pizza before winding our way back eastwards on the bus (it involves less walking than using the tube it seems, saves the legs, every bit helps).
