I can't imagine why (or even what)! Seen on my way back from the market - D had gone off early for the boat, but he's staying over at the island tonight for the first time so was fairly laden with supplies.

Trying to ignore the Pars result, he phoned later on, testing the phone-through-hearing-aids arrangement. It seemed to work very well, although it was a bit unnerving that he just had to tap one of the aids in order to 'hang up'.
