Brie day 14
The Brie has been gradually developing its white mould covering in my ‘cheese cave’, which is our back bedroom with the radiator turned off! I think the mould is ready, and it is now slightly softer around the outer edge. I have wrapped it in waxed paper, and it has gone into the fridge to continue ripening for a while longer. 14 days so far. You don’t realise when you just buy a cheese how much work and expertise has gone into it. Obviously not expertise in my case, just observation. I will have a check on it on Friday I think….
In the afternoon Lynne arrived and we had a visit to Farfield Mill to see the current exhibitions. There’s a great one using wool in various ways, and one piece I particularly liked, although at £500 it’s a bit out of my price bracket. But I got some ideas for things to try!!
