Shower Girl

I was supposed to be going into town for Julie’s retirement do, but she wasn’t well so it was cancelled. It meant that I could stay down at the Quays for a proper swim and not a dip in and out and a rush home.

The sun was shining, although the wind made it feel chilly. Victoria and I swam a couple of laps of the course as the temperature was apparently 10°. We didn’t want to get out, but our bodies said otherwise, we had been in for nearly half an hour. Once dressed it was lovely to sit on the steps in the sunshine with our hot drinks. This was after Victoria had her ‘glamour shower’ moment lol.

It was the Grand National today and Pat and I went to put a bet on. Her horse came first and mine came fifth….I got my money back and was up 80p ha ha ha.
