Cairngorms National Park

Backblip. 26th March 25
Our group went up the Cairngorm Mountain on the Funicular Railway. We were hoping to see ptarmigan, snow buntings, a soaring eagle (maybe) or a breeding pair of ring ouzels. We saw none of these things. There was very little snow up there, which was unusual, and it's the first time I'd never seen snow buntings in the lower car park. Wondering around and feeling more than a little disappointed, I put my head over a fence and was faced with a pond full of frogs. I'm sure the frog on the right was mocking me.
