Pond perfection

It's been an ongoing saga since January with the replacement pond work being more than was originally thought.  And then we've had to monitor water levels to work out why water levels were dropping.  Was it the pump, the waterfall, the trees? etc.

Anthony addressed it all today, levelling out the basin at the top of the waterfall, increasing the height of the liner on one side and and re-paving the surrounds.  I was on hand as his helper until it was done this morning, sourcing paving slabs (from the  garden) and piecing them together like a jigsaw around the rim.  Some pragmatic decisions were made and I think they work.

Last lecture session on the CBA bee beginners course today.  Deborah, Lynne and I went together - it was great but it will 'bee' good to have our Saturday afternoons back!

However, totally eclipsing all this mundane news is that Sophia is back from Australia.  Ben is picking her up from the airport and bringing her home.  <3
