It's another cold
morning but the sun dazzles...
Spring is gearing up!

I waited for the sun to peek over the ridge beside my mountains before heading off to Paul Lake before 7.

I found it a challenge to drive facing the morning sun. I thought it best to drive up the hill to the lake, then sort my photos on the way back when the sun would be behind me.

I stopped for some horses, but they paid no attention to me at all. I waited for them to lift their heads, but they were so intent on grazing, I gave up the wait.

The sun glared off Paul Lake. I could see some ice on the surface but the edges were free. One darling song bird came close and sang its heart out for me while I photographed last year's rosehips and weeds beside the lake.

On my way down the hill I spotted my first eagle of the season high on a pole. I pulled on to the shoulder, grabbed my camera, focused.....and it flew off! I almost missed it entirely.

I'm going to have a leisurely day at home.  I have an invitation to attend an open house. I might just go.
