Orchid's Last Stand?

Well, I am obviously not a good orchid-tender...one of my two white ones dropped all its flowers and the whole stem looked pretty much dead. The leaves however? Still there, looking ever so green and hopeful. I did not throw the poor thing out..but will see if it can be rejuvenated and live t bloom another day.  Meanwhile, its friend is still looking pretty good and perhaps I should clip off its stem a bit and see if that keeps it going? Advice is welcome...

Oh, and I did bring home a new one today - a lovely purple one  - and will try to do better taking care of it. 

It was a lovely sunny day with blue skies to the point that after doing errands and being "overdressed" I came home, took off my jacket and took my lunch out onto the back deck. That worked for a brief time, but when the breeze came up? NOT..it seems that I am pushing spring just a tad too far? Patience....

Watched another episode of Ludwig and and am still enjoying it...But then how could I not like it? David Mitchell? Ever since Upstart Crow, he has been etched into the part of my TV brain that loves a good chuckle...
