Jacopo Tintoretto (Venice) 1518-1594. Hanging to the right, just outside the door to the Italian Room pictured yesterday. Much to notice including the velvet robe trimmed with ermine, the direct stare and the Venetian sailboat to the left. No need to travel to Venice to view a Tintoretto, just come to Seattle.
