The Italian Room at SAM

I was downtown today for a meeting, but also for a visit to my favorite room at the Seattle Art Museum. This room was built in ~ 1550 in Northern Lombardy, had many homes, ending restored and installed at SAM in 2007. The wood is original, except for the floors. The coves contain various pieces of tin-glazed earthenware called Majolica. Worth a Google. NannaK (HCB)
