Cake stop

I entered the Mammothon a few weeks ago when I realised how dry this year was turning out to be and with the sure knowledge that we weren’t likely to be spending 26 miles wading in mud. Then I promptly strained my calf and haven’t been running for the past two weeks. I hope the rest has done it’s thing. My main concern is reaching the gliding club on top of the Mynd for the Fidget Pie. I’ll happily retire from the race after that point.

The internet told me today that if I could hop on one leg, then my calf it’s ready to run. I ignored the bit where it said I should try and short run.

Oh well. Alarm set for 5.30am and a plan to meet a gang of wonderful women at the start line. Sun cream and body glide at the ready.
