In my garden
It’s chaenomeles Pink Lady. Or flowering quince. My dad had one in his garden - his was a massive round bush full of blooms, whereas mine is more like a stick with flowers. I must have pruned it wrong. But I still love it, and it connects me to him. It’s been in flower for at least 6 weeks.
Another session at my allotment this morning, clearing and weeding a big bed to grow some courgettes and squash in. I also ordered the seeds, always exciting. Though I restrained myself and bought only 4 packets in total.
Later on in the afternoon I went into the centre and bought a camera ! It’s compact, good for taking on holidays and walks. And will, I hope, give me more opportunities for blips (eg good zoom) than my phone. Don’t hold your breath, it will take me ages to figure it out. Thanks to blipper Martinski for encouragement and advice.
