Still standing

Fine but very wild and windy, not the best day for sieving soil into the raised bed, or balancing on the section of front garden at 45deg to tackle some weeding. The daffs in the container opposite the back door are still standing despite the wind - they're in a relatively sheltered spot.

After a supermarket delivery MrM and I went to the local garden centre, MrM to buy some wood, and I bought some spring bulbs in pots, and some more herbs (chives and thyme on this occasion).

Spoke to Tom this evening as he was on his way out to meet friends to celebrate his birthday. Forty today! Where have those 40 years gone?!
