Hilly
It's not just our property that's hilly, the whole neighborhood is! The buttercups in the green grass caught my attention on our walk, but I love the oak tree with its new leaves, leaning into the hill, twisty branches silhouetted against the sky. The sun came out today but it was just a couple of degrees above freezing when we got up this morning.
I was wearing several layers of clothing when I set out for Pilates today, but it had warmed up enough that I took one layer off and left it underneath my reformer. I didn't realize my lapse until I was walking to the jewelry store to pick up my watch and was hit by a chilly breeze blowing down 4th street. I got my watch, had my rings cleaned and admired a pair of matching earrings which the woman in the jewelry store showed me.
Then I went back to the Pilates studio where I knew a class would be in progress. While I stood by the door debating what to do, Brittany, who works in the office came out with my jacket. 'You guys take such good care of me, I said'. And they do....
The search for somebody who can come fix our solar panels, or the inverters, or the fuses or whatever continues. It doesn't seem like it should be so difficult, but so for some reason everything seems to take longer these days. It must be my imagination that the heat pump isn't working either because the thermostat says it is, but I haven't warmed up all day despite sunny skies. We should still be getting power from the grid even if the solar panels aren't working. I'm still wearing the jacket I retrieved from the studio.
I had a call from the dermatology clinic today to inform me that the biopsy done last week on my shin came back positive for squamous cell and the doctor would like to do chemotherapy injections. I'll have to think about that for a few days. I'm convinced that sometimes these things can go away on their own. I have three that seem to have done just that. If these are a result of my misspent youth basting myself with baby oil at the beach as I'm let to believe, then I will have shuffled off this mortal coil before they do any damage. I liked the doc, but she did say that she had just learned how to do these injections....
