A Rose in the Middle

We had a couple tasks on our agenda today. Hubby took our trash and recycling to the convenience center. I picked up my mother and we went to her house. Hubby was already there de-winterizing our camper. He stopped long enough to walk to the edge of Momma’s property with us. Her fence has fallen and we needed her to tell us what to do about it. She wants it fixed. I decided to take a few pics of her pretty flowers. The tiny narcissi blooms look great. Her camellia bush is covered in blooms. Hubby decided to go with us to take Momma back to Barbara’s. On the way, she asked if we could find her a chicken dinner. Hubby dropped me at the grocery store to get her a rotisserie chicken for her dinner. He went to a fast food restaurant and bought her chicken tenders, her favorite food. She was quite happy. We realized it is a 150 mile trip to pick her up, take her to her house and then back to Barbara’s. Now I understand the time usage. We certainly don’t mine but were unaware of the number of miles. Hubby brought me home to finish laundry. A little later, Chase picked him up along with more materials needed for the temporary fence fix. We will hire someone to repair it the right way as soon as possible. Hubby will have our grandsons to help him tonight. He will get them dinner to say thanks. Wishing you a helping hand when you need one. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by. “One of the things I keep learning is that the secret of being happy is doing things for other people.” -- Dick Gregory
