Thundering Bees

It was one of those crazy sky days, early and often. It was actually kind of nice to have some cloud cover and get some freedom from the sun's relentless savagery on the land. Here, Kirby cautiously investigates the bee hives we've hosted since our farmer planted the radish crop this spring. The bees ignored us both. It looked early like thunderstorms; we've been spared most of the day, but it may hit tonight. In the mountains I shot in two days ago, lightning bolts are dancing like crazy right now. The clouds provide texture and interest to otherwise dull sky shots, so I shot a few more and posted them here. It was one of those evenings, a photographer's delight: completely interesting lighting. Good stuff.
