Flower of the Common Ash
Up very early have shower and breakfast at a leisurely pace. If I time the properly, buses should link up. And they do, I get there just before 8. I get to the outpatient clinic and I am fitted with a high tech portable heart monitor. I am to wear it for 24 hours and can return it to the clinic when I turn up for my next appointment on Tuesday. I am lucky with the buses going home, and I am working from home before 9 am.
A nice walk at lunchtime. It is very warm, no need for a coat. The ash trees have come in to flower. No much sign of ash die-back in the park. We also spot out first butterfly of the year, a peacock butterfly.
After work a walk down to the Braid Burn. We are under a circle of blue sky. As we walk, the circle gets smaller, until there is grey cloud. It is still warm though, nice enough to sit in the park for 10 minutes or so before heading home.
