Snow overnight on
upper elevations, but
we're told sun's coming!

I delayed my departure this morning. I could see snow on the top of the ridges around the city. We were spared down here in the valley bottom but it's damp, grey and chilly this morning.
I drove across town to Riverside Park with hopes to get out on the pier and have a look around at the park. My first surprise was finding a large section of the park fenced off and hearing equipment working before 8 AM. I had to walk a large circle around to get near the pier. Once there, I didn't want to disturb a woman having a lengthy conversation on her cell phone at the end of the pier.
I found the usual Canada geese prowling the park and making a lot of noise for each other.
I noticed two men wrapping the wire fence in tarps. It seems an added expense for the project. Do we really need to keep people from watching the proceedings?
I crossed paths with a security guard who was patrolling the area. He tells me the construction crew is building a skating rink for the public. I'm sure it will be appreciated next winter. Meanwhile the park is disturbed again.
I have some work to do at the office this morning. Then, my afternoon is all mine to spend at home.
