Fading Fast

...and not just the daffodils.

We left the plumber to it mid morning and headed into Edinburgh to meet the kitchen designer.
He had plans all ready on his computer and 3D artwork to go with it.
Several things were changed as we went through everything ... cabinet/cupboard sizes etc.
Worktop, flooring and cupboard colours were chosen (and added to the 3D images to give a better overall idea of how they went together), handles were added to the mix - and then we moved onto the appliances.... what kind of hob (gas, electric or induction), what kind of fridge/freezer (50/50 or 60/40 or American), what kind of sink, what kind of taps .... what sort of ...... the list went on and the drawings were altered as we went as dimensions also had to be altered.

Then it came to cost .....

When we were given the total SWMBO and I looked at each other in disbelief.
Then we nearly bit his hand off.
It could never be described as 'cheap' - but it was a damned sight less than we had expected.

When we eventually got home the pile of debris in the back garden had increased fairly substantially and the plumber was already away. But things have started to be put in in the en-suite. Still a fair way to go but it was nice to see the beginnings of a building site as opposed to a demolition site.
