Appetising

I was at home for once on a Thursday. I only had a small number of work-related calls today, and it was odd that everybody else was in the office. I had a bit of FOMO first thing. Even Gareth, who is based near Leeds, was in the Leeds office instead of at home.

I followed Mum and Dad’s approach via Find My. They arrived on schedule at 3 pm, so I let them in, made some tea, and went to join a call. After I’d finished talking to Gareth, who informed me about some upcoming work and sent me some documentation that I found impenetrable, I gave up for the day and spent time with Mum and Dad.

I made a vegetable chilli, which turned out quite well. Yesterday, I decided it would be nice to have taco shells as an option, and I bought the only available brand in the shop. We each had one with dinner, and they were nice enough, but the experience when they were removed from the box and presented in a plastic bag was quite unappetising.

We had a lovely evening and a couple of bottles of wine. Apparently, despite the discussions with Sarah a few weeks ago, they still haven’t heard of Swedish death cleaning. I don’t think they liked the idea.
