Office
Unusually for a Wednesday, it is an office day. It was more convenient to go today so that I could be at home when Mum and Dad arrive tomorrow. This morning, I just missed the train I should have been on, which had a small knock-on effect on my journey. I stopped at Caffè Nero for a coffee on the way to and later back from the office to Shepherd’s Bush station.
It was busier than I expected on a Wednesday, and a meeting about some upcoming work had more people in the meeting room than on the video screen, which was nice. There were some valuable conversations, including one where a colleague overheard another conversation and was able to add some extra detail that I had not been expecting. It’s also lovely to walk down the corridor and chat with the operations team to ask them questions about things we need to deliver.
There was a rush at lunchtime for the lasagne, and I couldn’t be bothered to queue, so I had a healthy salad lunch instead.
I dropped my bag off at home just as PY was returning. I did not have time to turn around and get to my Tai Chi class, so I went shopping to buy things, enabling me to have dinner ready for tomorrow. Later, we had a tuna pasta dish that PY invented from some things in the cupboard.
