Mum and her babies
We are very much 'fair weather' gardeners and as we had some fair weather today (albeit a little chilly) we got out and completed the clearing and tidying up of the back garden. The brown bin is now completely full but doesn't get collected for another nine days so hopefully there won't be too much more to put in it.
I felt a little sorry for this family of snails. They were nice and cosy inside the lid of the brown bin when I came along and opened it up. They legged it slid around to the top of the bin lid which was then leaning against the wall, where they could enjoy a bit of darkness and protection. And enjoy it they did, for a couple of hours, until I closed the bin lid and exposed them all again.
I haven't checked to see where they have gone to now but we don't have many thrushes around here so they will probably have found some shelter. And as they appear to be wading through a puddle, I thought they would do for the 'Tiny Tuesday' theme of 'something wet'.
